Abstract
The quantification of the metallic corrosion can be a source of problem. The study of current density versus potential curves with an outward and backward sweep allows to understand the difficulty and to explain the corrosion mechanism. The reported work deals with the inhibition efficiency of different additives on zinc and iron corrosion rate. The so obtained efficiency is compared to that of the proton reduction on metallic surface and to the own efficiency of the additive.
