Abstract
In presence of triphenylbenzylphosphonium bromide the inhibition rate of Armco iron corrosion in 20 % phosphoric acid solution rises at more than 90 %. The efficiency of this phosphonium salt as corrosion inhibitor of iron is showed by weight loss and electrochemical methods. Other wise these last show that the inhibitor operates essentially by cathodic process.
