Abstract
In this paper are reported tests on the electrochemical behaviour in a 2 N sulphuric acid solution of 18.10 stainless steels implanted with nitrogen. These tests, systematically referred to surface analysis, show on the one hand the role of galvanic couplings between the surface layers and the underlying metal, and on the other hand the importance of the implantation conditions on the resistance in acid medium of the implanted layers.
