Abstract
Resistance to corrosion of metals the surface of which is modified by ion implantation has been the subject of many papers. We present here a littérature survey concerning research works done on ion implantation on iron, unalloyed or low alloyed steels, and stainless steels. Papers reporting works on nitrogen implantation on the same alloys are more particularly discussed.
