Appréciation du traitement de l’interface verre-époxy dans les stratifiés pour circuits imprimés* (Méthodologie nouvelle)
A new methodology for a selective differenciation in the quality of the glass/epoxy interface treatment, in laminates for printed circuits
Société Stevens Genin, France
Abstract
Such method by Interfacial Tracking will enable us to follow up the penetration of water inside the laminate. The evolution of dielectric properties inside the glass/resin laminate, during accelerated wet aging, is measured in the 100 Hz to 1 MHz frequency range.
A new type of specimen, together with a new method of analysis, have been perfected in our laboratories. Electrodes are set at various levels in the board and allow to define a profile of the dielectric properties.
Together with, and as a complement to the dielectric measurements, various physicochemical tests are conducted on the treated glass-fabric (wettability, Differential Scanning Calorimetry).
A synthesis of the readings of the above tests will allow us to define the best treatment, as to the kind of coupling agent and its handling characteristics.
