Application du faisceau laser au découpage des matériaux métalliques*
Application of laser beam to steels cutting
Etablissement Technique Central de l’Armement (Arcueil)
Abstract
A 5 kW continuous wave CO2 laser has been used to study the cutting of low carbon and stainless steel sheets.
The use of oxygen jet coaxial with the laser beam allowed the cut up to 40 mm thickness.
The influence of the various processing parameters essentially the laser power, the cutting speed and the focus position has been investigated.
