Radiateurs en cuivre et laiton à haute performance
Copper/brass high performance radiators
Département de génie mécanique, Penn State University, University Park, Pennsylvania (USA)
Abstract
This paper shows that well designed copper/hrass radiators can compete in weight with brazed aluminium radiators of identical thermal capacity. The use of fins with reduced thickness (25 μm instead of standard 38 to 46 mm) diminues weight and lowers the pressure reduction airside. Recently developed coatings increase fins corrosion resistance. A new design of the exchanger beam with no space needed between tubes brings a reduced height in the air direction.
