Abstract
The unique characteristics of the disc type ultrasonic motor such as its high output power per unit volume and high maximum operating torque has resulted in its use in place of conventional electromagnetic motors in various applications. Existing applications include autofocus camera lenses, electric car windows, microactuators.
In order to improve output and service life, it is necessary to study the rotor/stator interface. The aim of this study is to present the influence of the contact zone between the rotor and the stator and its dependence on various factors such as the normal force, the temperature, the mecanic properties of materials and the friction coefficient between rotor and stator.
