Etude des endommagements et de leur propagation en essais statiques et de fatigue sur composites carbone-epoxy
Study and comparison of different methods to describe the successive damages before fracture for carbon-epoxy composite materials
Laboratoire central, Société Nationale Industrielle Aérospatiale
Abstract
During static or fatigue testes on composite materials, several damages can appear at different load levels. These levels can vary with the following parameters : nature of the material, number of plies in each direction, stating sequence.
This paper presents the results obtained by the adaptation of several methods to describe an quantify these damages : acoustic emission. X-rays, extensometry and comparison with theory calculation.
