Abstract
In this article several stainless steel and Ni alloy grades which can be used in chloride and sea water environments as seamless tubulars are displayed. Three of them are austenitic stainless steels with high molybdenum content (4,5 to 6%) two others have duplex structure (ferritic-austenitic) and one is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy. Mechanical and physical characteristics are compared. Main corrosion resistance properties concerning pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking in various media including (H2S) environments are also given.
