Abstract
This study shows that in spite of the drawbacks due to the small size of the studs and to the complex sollicitation of the joint, the adherence test based on the use of a stud and of a microtensile machine allows, due to its simplicity, the realization of a large number of tests with a good reproductibility. The influence of parameters such as the nature of the adhesive, the composition of the substrate and the type of surface treatment on the performance of the adhesive joint can thus be characterised of an interesting manner.
