Retraction of a Dublicate Publication
It has been brought to our attention that a paper recently published in Matériaux & Techniques 100, 13–19 (2012): "Structure and hardness of high-frequency induction melted Al-Fe-Ti alloys", by L. Bendjeddou and M.Y. Debili, had some strong similarities with another publication published in Defect and Diffusion Forum, Volumes 305 - 306 (2010) - volume Defects and Diffusion in Metals XII : Title: Structure and Hardness of Al-Fe-Ti Alloys by the same authors L. Bendjeddou and M.Y. Debili
After further investigation, we came to the conclusion that the abstracts, the introductions, the experimental parts and the conclusions are identical in both papers. Only a few minor (typo) differences can be noticed. Figure 1, 4, 5, 6 and 7 are strictly identical while figure 3 in Matériaux et Techniques is the same as figure 2 in DDF.
Matériaux & Techniques takes these matters of redundant publication very seriously and views such actions as unethical and unacceptable conduct. After carefully considering the explanation by the authors, our doubts were confirmed and we have decided to remove this article from our journal.
