Les alliages CuAlNi à mémoire de forme
CuAlNi shape memory alloys
Centre de Recherche Tréfimétaux, Sérifontaine
Abstract
To select a shape memory alloy for a particular application, both the cost and the alloy performance need to be considered. CuAlNi alloys are better than other Cu-based shape memory alloys in terms of their high transformation temperatures, thermal stability and fatigue properties. The present paper reviews some aspects of Trefimetaux’ industrial processing, the stability of material characteristics, i.e. transformation temperatures and mechanical behaviour, during thermal and stress cycling, and indicates also some applications developed with our customers.
