Abstract
Up to now the phenomenon of scaling has been studied in considering only the physicochemical properties of water liable to cause incrustation. The authors have shown that during the process of scaling, the colloids, both by their nature and their electric charge, play an important role.
Furthermore, they indicate that the anti-scaling devices electric or electronic, can actually be efficient only if they are capable of producing and injecting colloids of calcium carbonate into the untreated water.
