Les essais de corrosion en atmosphères naturelles
Corrosion tests in natural atmospheres
Ecole des Mines de Douai
Abstract
Corrosion tests in natural atmospheres remain irreplaceable. Indeed according to the precision of the atmosphere corrosivity characterization, they allow to :
- -
qualify and compare the behaviours of different materials, processes... ;
- -
quantify the specific influence of the different atmospheric pollutants on the corrosion of metals ;
- -
warrant the development of accelerated tests whose mechanisms are similar to those in natural exposition conditions.
To obtain interesting results, as for the other corrosion tests, parameters of the atmospheres and test aims must be well defined; test locations have also to be well selected.
