Abstract
In this paper, we propose analytic equations linking the residual stresses to the plastic strains, for parts (test specimens) of simple geometry. These equations were developed in order to determine the initial strains in superficially treated parts. Then, for elasto-plastic calculation, it is possible to study the evolution of one variable with the second variable determined using the proposed equations.
