Effect of ageing on the mechanical properties of plates reinforced by short fibres

Abstract
The aim of this work is to study how mechanical properties are affected by ageing, and how structures reinforced by short fibres and subjected to impact behave at failure. This paper deals with experimental tests carried out using a closed loop hydraulic machine for a velocity range varying between a few tenths of a millimetre per minute and 20 m/s. We carried out static tests and impact tests on test-pieces for different ageing processes.
