Détermination des contraintes résiduelles. Automatisation par la méthode du trou incrémentale
Automation of Determination of Residual Stresses by the Incremented Hole Drilling Method
Lammar - ENSAM, Bordeaux
Abstract
The “hole drilling method” is one of the current methods used to determine residual stresses.
The incremental machining of the hole is a way of reaching the stress gradient according to depth. However, this experiment, which has been carried out in a laboratory, requires a great many manipulations.
In order to compensate for this inconvenience, a device called DIACRE has been developed which can be used on site on very big parts thus permitting :
- the automation of hole machining at various predetermined depths,
- the memorization of the main residual stresses together with their own graphs.
In this paper will be presented the design and making of this device with the results obtained from SAE 1030 steel samples.
